What if I contribute nothing?
A child born 2025–2028 who gets only the $1,000 pilot is the “nothing extra” row: about $4,000 at age 18 if the account earns 8% a year. That is a model, not a promise. A child born before 2025 does not get that pilot. With no family gifts, the balance stays $0 unless a Dell $250 deposit applies.
Trump Account growth calculator
This is the growth calculator, the contribution calculator, and the future-value calculator. It compounds an assumed return against the pilot seed, monthly family contributions, employer match, and optional Dell $250. Annual contributions cannot exceed the $5,000 limit (family and employer share that cap).
Trump Account contribution calculator
Move the monthly amount to compare $50, $100, and $250. The $50 row above is about $10,800 contributed over 18 years, plus the seed when the child qualifies.
Trump Account future value
The tool shows a balance at 18 and, if you leave lifetime view on, a retirement figure after the account becomes a traditional IRA. The $7.5 million headline is the maximum-contribution path held to age 65 at 8%. It is a hypothetical, not a forecast. Longer write-up: worth at 18.
Trump Account calculator for a child
Set the birth year in the tool. For a child born before 2025, open the older-child preset (born 2016). That year skips the $1,000 pilot and can still model the Dell $250 if you turn that toggle on.
Trump Account vs 529
A 529 is for school. A Trump Account becomes an IRA at 18 and can be used more broadly, with ordinary-income tax on withdrawals. Full comparison: Trump Account vs 529.

Full eligibility quiz — does my child qualify for the $1,000 seed?
Birth year in the calculator already reflects the pilot seed when eligible (2025–2028). Use this quiz for citizenship, SSN, and guardian rules.
When was your child born?
We need this to check age eligibility and pilot deposit qualification.
Trump Account investment assumptions
The default rate is 8% a year, a common long-run U.S. stock model after fees. Some people also try 7%. Neither number is a promise, and past index returns do not predict the next 18 years. The tool compounds contributions year by year until age 18. It can include the $1,000 federal pilot (when eligible), monthly family contributions, and optional employer amounts up to $2,500/year per employee. Personal and employer amounts share the $5,000 annual cap. Results are illustrative only. At 18 the account converts to a traditional IRA.
📜 Rule of thumb from the statute
Contribution caps and the pilot program come from IRC §530A / IRS Notice 2025-68. The calculator does not store your inputs — math runs in your browser.
